Fifth-year students of the acting and directing departments of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture appeared as real actors in the graduation performance “Mother”, staged based on the play by Magtymguly Myshshiev on the stage of the Student Theater named after Mollanepes.

In the traditions of the Turkmen people, honoring parents. This is the absolute responsibility of the children. Summary of the play. Akgozel eje raised two sons who, having matured, settled in the city and started their own families. There was often no time to visit her mother, and when she grew old and began to need their help, it turned out that none of her sons could take her in, because their wives categorically opposed this.
And here the author of the play Makhtumkuli Myshshiev makes a stage turn, without exaggeration worthy of Shakespeare's dramatic intrigues. According to the agreement of Akgozel eje with a neighbor, he informs his sons that their mother is in serious condition, and they immediately arrived with their wives. Seeing that the house was empty, they decided that their mother had been buried and began to divide the inheritance. The appearance of the mother in the house becomes a complete surprise for them. Even more surprising was the contents of the bundle with family heirlooms. She kept not money for many years in it, and not jewelry, but the things dearest to her heart - the first skullcaps, embroidered with her own hands, for her eldest and youngest son, vests in which she dressed her dear babies ...
The last words of Akgozel eje are piercing: “I raised two sons, but they did not become good people. So, I lived my life in vain ... ". And she froze, fiddling with the shroud in her hands.
It's almost impossible to watch the final scene without crying. This is the merit of student actors, who authentically conveyed the images of the characters of the play under the guidance of Professor Annamurat Saparmukhammedov and People's Artist of Turkmenistan Muhammetkuli Kasymov.
- The choice of this play for the thesis, - the head of the department of acting and stage speech Aimamed Ishankuliev noted in an interview with GA, - is explained by the fact that the theme of the mother is relevant at all times, especially for today's youth, busy with their own problems and worries, which sometimes do not find time to communicate with their mother. At the same time, students are given the opportunity to express themselves in an action-packed heartfelt drama and excite every spectator in the hall.
