Once the famous film director Bulat Mansurov heard Rejep Rejepov's romance about Makhtumkuli. The romance made such a strong impression on Mansurov that he found it at the Moscow Conservatory. P.I. Tchaikovsky of his countryman - a fourth-year student. They met, and in parting Mansurov said: "We will definitely cooperate." These words turned out to be prophetic. Film music has become one of the important vectors in the work of the Turkmen composer, it is enough to mention that he is the author of music for 59 films. Record number!

Moreover, Nury Halmamedov himself became the spiritual teacher of Rejep Dzhumayevich. While composing the music for the film "Competition", Nury Halmamedov invited student Rejep Rejepov to audition. From the composer's memoirs, the music shocked him.

It should be noted that fate generously endowed Rejep Dzhumaevich, giving him the opportunity to intersect with brilliant compatriots, be friends with them, learn from them ...

A dedication concert to the outstanding Turkmen composer Rejep Dzhumayevich Rejepov took place in the Great Hall of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after. Mai Kuliyeva. The stage was filled with musicians of the Turkmen State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Rasul Klychev.

The concert program was opened by music from the film "Song of Running Water". In the silence of the audience hall, the unimaginably gentle sounds of a single violin were heard. After some time, they were amplified by the sounds of several more violins, then the sounds of double basses turned on, and closer to the end of the work, the whole orchestra burst out, voicing a powerful stream of water that brings life, coolness and beauty.

In the background of the stage, the audience saw the heroes of their favorite films included in the golden fund of the film library of our country: “Daughter-in-law”, “People of my village”, “Man overboard”, “Dzhemal tree”, “Kidnapping of a horse”, “Morning horsemen”, “Know how to say no”, “Whiteout”, “When a woman saddles a horse”. The audience involuntarily plunged into the cinematic collisions of black and white cinema, the dramaturgy of which was wonderfully emphasized by the musical arrangement of Rejep Rejepov. And it would not be an exaggeration to say that fragments from the film "Jemal Tree" made half of the audience shed tears, fragments from the film "Kidnapping of the Horse" plunged the listeners into an alarming state of anticipation of the impending crime. And fragments from the film "When a woman saddles a horse" - furious indignation for the ruthless massacre of women who rebelled against the remnants of the past.

The audience got an incomparable pleasure to meet again the familiar, almost native faces of the Turkmen actors Hommat Mulyuk, Mai Aymedova, Surai Muradova, Tachbibi Muradova, Baba Annanov, Khojan Ovezgelenov, Muhammed Cherkezov and others.

The soloists of the orchestra were saxophonist Timur Umyrov, vocalists Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Selbiniyaz Annadurdyeva, Gurbanmurat Jumaniyazov, People's Artist of Turkmenistan Atajan Berdyev, Leyli Okdirova, Leyli Mammedova, who supported the emotional mood of the film with their skill.

The dedication concert to the outstanding Turkmen composer ended in an extraordinary way. From relatives and friends of Rejep Dzhumayevich, the sister of the composer Ajap Bayrieva approached the microphone. She thanked the musicians of the symphony orchestra for the impeccable performance of her brother's works and the audience who came to share the pain of his untimely death. Singer Maya Gullaeva expressed her gratitude to the composer in poetic lines, which ended like this: “You are not with us, but music is alive, enchants, inspires, inspires!”. From the cinematographers, the film director Khojadurdy Narliyev spoke, who called Rejep Dzhumayevich his friend and brother, from the composers - Danatar Khydyrov, who shared the feeling of irreparable loss from the departure of a talented colleague and friend Rejep Rejepov.

And finally, the microphone passed into the hands of the conductor of the symphony orchestra, Rasul Klychev: “Today, a celebration of the soul took place for creative people. I have a special relationship with Rejep Dzhumaevich. Despite the big difference in age, we often met with him and talked for a long time about music, about life. I have always admired the modesty of this talented composer. And I will always remember every note of Rejep Rejepov's music. That valuable that our luminaries have left us must live, no matter what.

It remains to be added that the organizers of the dedication concert to Rejep Rejepov were the Department of Theoretical Music under the leadership of Shemshat Annagylydzhova, who conducts research work on the work of Rejep Dzhumaevich.
