Akbar Kamalov, a fourth-year student of the specialized art school named after M. Garlyev, Dashoguz velayat, achieved great success at the Third International Competition for Young Performers on Wind and Percussion Instruments. According to the results of the absentee competition “Wind stars” held in March in Latvia, for which the contestants provided videos of their musical numbers, our compatriot, who masterfully performed the works of Pablo de Sarasate “Gypsy tunes” and “Sonata” by Nury Halmamedov on the xylophone, was awarded a diploma of the second degree .

The jury of the competition appreciated the performance skills of the young musician. Playing this musical instrument, which consists of a set of wooden keys tuned like a piano keyboard, is difficult and not for everyone. Due to the rapid fading of the sound, it requires speed of action from the xylophonist. But at the same time, when performing complex musical compositions with a high musical sound, the xylophonist must avoid straining his hands and fingers, literally making them flutter over the keys of the instrument. Careful preparation also requires the acquisition of the skill of correctly hitting the xylophone plates with sticks. Therefore, the success of a talented student can rightfully be shared by the entire teaching staff of the educational institution, including teacher Kamil Allamov and accompanist Dilaram Akhmedova.

Akbar Kamalov is one of the most gifted students of the specialized art school named after M. Garlyev in Dashoguz velayat. He actively participates in various ensembles and orchestras of the educational institution, during his studies he performed several times with solo concerts. Akbar, while still a student of the children's art school in the region, also took second place in one of the republican competitions for performers on wind and percussion instruments.

Founded more than forty years ago, the specialized school of arts named after M. Garliyev of the Dashoguz velayat trains its pupils at a high professional level in eleven areas of musical and song art. There are departments of string and wind instruments, percussion musical instruments, piano, national and folk musical instruments, conducting skills, theory of art history and others. Students of the school have repeatedly become winners and laureates of various prestigious creative competitions, including those among the country's musical educational institutions. For the development of both performing skills and professional skills of students in the educational institution, there are consolidated groups in various musical areas, including a chamber orchestra.
