The sports complex "Bagtyyarlyk" resumed yoga classes

The Center for Yoga and Traditional Medicine, operating at the Bagtyyarlyk sports complex in Ashgabat, once again opened its doors to those who wish to comprehend the basics of spiritual and physical practices.

Today, classical hatha yoga is popular among residents of many countries, including in Turkmenistan.

In Ashgabat, hatha yoga classes are conducted by the Indian master Sheetal Dalvi. Yoga has been an integral part of her life since childhood. Practicing morning classes for several years, Sheetal earned her instructor certification. For some time she conducted yogic practices in Indonesia, and soon went to Turkmenistan in order to share her knowledge with new students.

Recently, as part of the state visit of the President of the Republic of India Ram Nath Kovind to Turkmenistan, the Indian leader visited the Center yoga and traditional medicine, attended the class, laid flowers at the monument to Mahatma Gandhi and planted a tree on the alley of honored guests.

“This event was an important day in my life,” said yoga instructor Sheetal Dalvi. – I think that for the Turkmen people too, because it was the first ever visit of the President of India to this beautiful country. I am glad that the Turkmen people practice yoga, because this ancient science is the basis of physical and mental health.

First of all, the goal of hatha yoga is to achieve physical health and longevity. Each lesson in the hall begins with a welcome - "Namaste". The gesture in which practitioners fold their palms to each other at chest level, lower their eyes, bow their heads and say: “Namaste!” means that every person has a divine principle located in the heart chakra.

In the very name of hatha yoga lies the combination of the sun and the moon. Where “ha” means the Sun, it is believed that it is associated with human energy, and “tha” is the Moon, which is associated with our consciousness. Solar energy includes the concepts of activity, vivacity and action, lunar calmness, tenderness and creativity. Yoga is an accessible tool for achieving harmony and balance between these energies.

The main difference between hatha yoga and other areas is that it is harmless both physically and energetically. During training, asanas are performed - physical exercises that affect not only the muscles of the body, but also stimulate the production of hormones, massage the internal organs of the human abdominal cavity.

Breathing exercises - pranayamas - teach you to manage your emotions, control your condition, help the cardiovascular and other systems of the body to function properly. After all, improper breathing, spasms, blocks and clamps are one of the main causes of many diseases.

Gestures are also performed - mudras - the positions of the fingers in certain poses that affect the physical and emotional state. The final exercises are meditations - to calm and relax the body and mind of a person.

The basis of hatha yoga in every workout is to perform exercises for flexibility, back, legs and abs. The benefits of hatha yoga are undeniable. Due to the soft load and harmonious study of the whole body, it is suitable for people of all ages, which means that it is never too late to start practicing yoga.
