A concert organized by the Department of String Instruments of TNK took place in the Great Hall of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kuliyeva. The creative meeting was dedicated to the outstanding teacher, honored worker of arts of Turkmenistan, labor veteran Nikolai Amiiants.

Nikolai Artemyevich made a huge contribution to the development of violin art, opened the world to several hundred talented violinists, many of whom became laureates of prestigious awards. Over the years of his teaching activity, he was able to instill in each student an ardent love for the instrument and respect for composers, teachers and musicians.

From the stage, colleagues and pupils expressed their warm attitude towards the maestro. Works by R. Wagner, N. Paganini, A. Khachaturian, A. Shaposhnikov and many other brilliant authors were performed.

“We have worked with Nikolai Artemyevich for more than three decades,” says Stella Faramazova, a diploma winner at the international competition, senior teacher at the Chamber Ensemble Department at TNK. His perseverance, scrupulousness and exactingness to every note, stroke, intonation instills in his students patience and attentiveness to the performance of works.

Nikolai Artemyevich was born in Ashgabat, in a family with musical traditions in 1934. Enrolling in a music school in the violin class, at the age of 6, he did not part with the instrument throughout his life. After school, he entered the music school in the class of Alfred Itskov, and then at the St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory, in the class of the world-famous violinist Ilya Lukashevsky.

Returning to Ashgabat, he began working at the Turkmen State School named after Danatar Ovezov, where for many years he was in charge of the orchestral department, and then began teaching at the TNK. Even now he continues his studies on his favorite instrument.

Maestro Nikolai Artemyevich can rightly be called the founder of the Turkmen violin school, because most violin teachers are either his students or students of his students. The fame of the maestro's pedagogical talent has spread to different countries, thanks to his pupils, who delight listeners and strict international judges with their play.

To date, Nikolai Artemyevich has trained more than two hundred violinists. Among them is Aibolek Mukhieva, who won two top awards by taking part in international competitions held in 2018 in the city of Gyumri (Armenia) and in 2019 in Rome (Italy). Moreover, Nikolai Artemyevich was also awarded the diploma of the best teacher. Bahram Dolyev is a participant in international music festivals and competitions, performed as part of the State Symphony Orchestra and the Youth Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Rasul Klychev, the first violin in the string orchestra Takhira Ataeva, winner of the Presidential Prize among creative figures "Türkmeniň Altyn asyry", the VI International Festival of Arts " Dutar Sounds" named after Nury Halmamedov. Also, in different years, pupils of the maestro were noted, such as David Tumasov - the winner of the national competition named after Chary Nurymov, the diplomat of the international competition named after Nury Halmamedov Olga Myatieva and many others.
