By the Day of the Horse, an exhibition of works by Turkmen artists was opened in the capital's Exhibition Center. Both floors of the center were decorated with images of unusually beautiful Akhal-Teke horses, which have been the pride of the Turkmen people for centuries. Artists approached the theme in different ways. The exhibition has many works made in the Art Nouveau style, in small sculptural forms, but most of all in the realistic genre.

Passing from picture to picture, the thought involuntarily arises of how much the horse means in the life of the Turkmen people. Together with people, he literally participated in all events: fighting on the battlefield, winning festive races, helping the rider in skillful trick riding. Today, the need to use the horse for transport purposes has disappeared, but he found himself in equestrian sports and continues to delight compatriots and foreign guests with his unusually graceful article.

In the painting "Lunar Evening", the artist R. Garryev assigned him the role of a chargé d'affaires of two lovers. The guy on horseback rode up to the duval, behind which is the house of his beloved, and on the other side of the duval, a timid girl stands, pressing her hand to her heart. Apparently, their romantic relationship is at the very beginning of its development. It seems that their hearts emit a loud, rapid heartbeat that an impressionable viewer can hear.

Two canvases with battle scenes are presented at the exhibition by artists Yagshimurad Kerimov and Chary Jafarov. On one of them - "Alp Arslan" - Yagshimurad depicted the legendary hero who defeated his enemy in a fair battle, on the other - "Jelaletdin" - Chary presented a talented leader, surrounded by his faithful friends, who peers into the distance, where the enemy is located, and develops a plan actions.

In both works, the horse adequately shares victory and defeat with the owner.

The horses in Rustam Abdullayev's painting "Morning Star" play a completely different role: they transport a friendly family from one place to another. The painting "Morning Star" is one of a series of his works, where a happy family is on a long journey and a faithful assistant, almost a member of the family, a horse, helps them to master the way. The nomadic way of life of the Turkmen hovers over the entire series of paintings as a leitmotif. In each of the works, Rustam successfully conveys the lyrical bosom of nature and the atmosphere of family happiness.

Gahryman Gochmuradov's painting "On the back of a white horse" left no one indifferent. The artist depicted the action-packed scene of the “stealing” of the bride. The groom shoots from the bow from the chase, the horse, realizing that now only the life of the owner and his love depends on the speed of its run, and rushes without feeling its legs under it. Only a stolen bride with braids flying through the air is infinitely happy. She seems to exclaim: “How long I have been waiting for this moment!”.

The exhibition brought great aesthetic pleasure to the visitors. The authors present at the center exchanged their impressions of the works they liked, and this time there were quite a few of them.
