The play by the Uzbek playwright Nurullo Abboskhon formed the basis of a new production of “Körpe gelin” (“Younger daughter-in-law”) by the Kemine Mary State Drama Theater.

We can say that this performance "travels" to different theater venues in our country. The sparkling comedy was staged and continues to be staged at the Magtymguly Music and Drama Theater in Ashgabat. However, each director offers his own vision of the timeless story about brides and grooms.

The story of a simple rural girl Myahriban (Y. Rakhmanova) chosen for her son by her resourceful mother-in-law Karima (N. Mollaeva) again and again finds a response in the hearts of the audience. The situation itself is comical. Son Bakhtiyar (T. Akmyradov), although he does not re-read, remains dissatisfied with the choice of his mother. In a young wife, he does not like literally everything - from gait to wardrobe. And the compassionate Karima does not miss the opportunity to help the girl and takes the situation into her own hands.

“The play by the Uzbek playwright is, of course, not a novelty for Turkmen theater-goers,” says Ata Gullarov, chief director of the Mary State Drama Theater named after Kemine. - The plot and event outline of the performance remains the same, except that in our version, instead of one mother-in-law, there are two. Also, the director of the production, Gurbanberdy Hallov, tried to bring a touch of drama to the production. After all, visiting the theater is not only entertainment, but also an occasion to think about important things.

Separately, it is worth noting the work of theatrical artist Merdan Charyev. The scenery for the performance was created for about six months. The national Uzbek costumes, which are part of the rich cultural traditions of the fraternal people, were studied in detail. Why the image of the performance turned out to be bright and interesting.

Very soon, a new production of "The Younger Daughter-in-Law" will take its place in the repertoire of the Mary Theater.
