On the last day of April, a large number of lovers of classical and modern music gathered in the Great Hall of the Special Music Boarding School at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Mai Kuliyeva. Indeed, at 15:00, the annual reporting concert of talented young men and women began here, who, of course, were helped by their teachers.

The director of the school, People's Artist of Turkmenistan Berdyniyaz Babaniyazov addressed the audience with a greeting. He wished both the participants of the concert and the audience good health and congratulated the audience and artists on the holiday of Oraza Bayram.

The symphony orchestra conducted by conductor Mered Mukhammetgulyev did an excellent job both with Ovezov's composition and with the patriotic song “Veysya, flag”, the music for which was composed by Berdyniyaz Babaniyazov, and the text was written by Shirindzhemal Dolyeva.

The orchestra was replaced on the stage by three bakhshi performers. The youngest of the members of the trio who performed the song "Dostum sen" (music: Ata Ablyev, lyrics by Khudayguly Allamyradov) was Meretmyrat Byashimgeldiyev, an 8th grade student of the school. Together with him on stage were Tirkishgeldy Danatarov and Charymyrat Orazmammedov.

Then the audience appreciated the orchestra conducted by Meylis Artykov. A pair of excellent soloists, students of the 11th grade Adylsha Tagandurdyev and Ogulgozel Nemetova, accompanied by musicians, performed for the audience full of enthusiasm and spring mood “Love Song” (composer: Rejep Rejepov, poet: Ata Atajanov). The next number was also performed by musicians led by Meilis Artykov. The first part of the concert by Jeren Kurbanklycheva and Yoloman Nurymov was performed. The work, where the main solo part is performed on the dutar, was played at the highest level.

The orchestra, like a few minutes earlier, was again replaced on the stage by bakhshi. Now it was Ykhlas Shatlykov's turn to show his art to the audience. And the 7th grade student Sakhetnazar Garayev pleased the audience with vocals. The duet performed the Turkmen folk song "Begler".

The concert also featured works by foreign composers. The first foreign author, whose work was performed in the concert program, was the American music composer Charles Magnante. His "Boogie for Accordion" was performed by an accordion ensemble led by Gulnara Babaniyazova and Vera Anfaylova.

In the first part, the audience especially liked the performance of an ensemble of twenty dutarists led by Charymyrat Orazmammedov. The well-known Turkmen composition "Atçapan" was performed.

In the second part of the concert, works by Berdyniyaz Babaniyazov, Adel Garay, Chara Nurymov, Frederic Chopin, Sergei Rachmaninoff and Kerim Dzhumageldiev were heard from the stage.

In total, during the reporting event, the audience saw almost three dozen wonderful performances, each of which adorned the concert program prepared by the teaching staff of the music boarding school.

Separately, I would like to mention the very young participants in the spring festival, who appeared on stage in the second half of the evening. Seitgeldy Ashirov, a 4th grade student who performed the improvisation on the xylophone, received a standing ovation from the public. Applauded, of course, and the boy's teacher - Arslangeldy Ashirov.

The audience also appreciated the performance of the children's choir of the school, called "Gunesh". Boys and girls led by Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Gulshat Odeniyazova and Aknur Khodzhagurbanova heartily performed one of the most popular children's Soviet songs “Beautiful Far Away” (music by E. Krylatov, lyrics by Y. Entin), and the famous Turkmen melody by Danatar Ovezov “Waharman”.

The audience also remembered the number prepared by the clarinet ensemble led by Oktay Najafov together with the choreographic department of the educational institution. While the musicians performed the famous "Waltz" by Georgy Sviridov, several couples performed this romantic dance on stage.

At the end of the concert, its organizers invited everyone to the next evening of music at the Special Music School. The concert will take place at 16:00 on Wednesday 4 May.
