The concert dedicated to the Victory Day gathered a full house in the Great Hall of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kuliyeva. The prelude was a musical and poetic composition of poems by Turkmen and Russian poets, which ended with a minute of silence for all those present in the hall in memory of those who, at the cost of their lives, gave us a peaceful sky above our heads.
The concert program was opened by the dutar. With inspiration, the Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Osman Gudzhimov performed the work “Khujim” (“Invasion”) by Mylly Tachmuradov.
Maya Gullaeva performed the aria Obadan from the opera "Obadan" by Danatar Ovezov and Adrian Shapashnikov. The singer managed to convey the excitement of the mother, accompanying her son on a long dangerous journey.
Nury Khalmamedov's song "Esgerin yatlamasy" ("Memories of a soldier") was performed by Begench Gaipov.
Along with works in the Turkmen language, the concert program included favorite hits - “The Blue Handkerchief”, “Playing in the City Garden”, “Random Waltz”, “Cranes”, “Oh, Roads”, “The Last Fight” and, of course, “ Katyusha ”- a song that the audience picked up and performed in unison with Maya Gullaeva.
The concert ended with a song that has become an unofficial anthem for the country that has gone through terrible trials that lasted four long years - "Victory Day" by David Tukhmanov. All the vocalists who took part in the concert took the stage - Bakhar Durdiyeva, Maya Gullaeva, Begench Gaipov, Amangeldy Amanov. And from the very first chords, the audience stood up, the voices of the vocalists merged with the voice of the audience. “Victory Day is a holiday with tears in the eyes…” was sung in the song, and many viewers dabbed their eyes with handkerchiefs…
The concert dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the Victory over fascism was prepared by the Chamber Ensemble Department. The concertmaster of the evening is the laureate of international competitions Stella Faramazova.
