Football Cup of Balkan Velayat has started in Balkanabat. 5 clubs are competing for the grand prize. Two of them: “Nebitchi” (Balkanabat) and “Shagadam” (Turkmenbashy) belong to the top league of Turkmenistan, the rest are amateur teams: “Nebitchi-2”, “Galkynysh” (both from Balkanabat), “Charlakly Yoly” (Caspian).

According to the rules of the tournament, the teams will play one round at a time. The first games were as follows: “Nebitchi-2” - “Galkynysh” - 2 : 0; “Shagadam” - “Charlakly Yoly” - 8 : 0, “Galkynysh” - “Charlakly Yoly” - 5 : 1, “Nebitchi” - “Nebitchi-2” - 6 : 0.

So, after two rounds, four teams are leading in the competition: - “Shagadam”, “Nebitchi”, “Nebitchi-2”, and “Galkynysh”, each of them has 3 points. But, “Nebitchi” and “Shagadam” played one game less.

The winner of the Balkan Velayat Cup will be announced on 19th of May.
