At the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan held a two-day exhibition of innovative projects, organized in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of Turkmenistan and the Day of the State Flag of the country.
The atmosphere of a real holiday reigned these days on the site of the colorfully decorated exhibition pavilion at the university. The musical accompaniment presented by the creative team of the bagshies of the institute added to the excellent mood of all the participants of the event.
The festive exposition included more than two dozen innovative projects created by representatives of the university, students and young teachers of the Council of Young Scientists (CYS) of the institute.
Each sample of the scientific work of young people deserved attention and aroused interest, attracted with innovation and originality, surprised with the depth of the author's thought...
Here is one of them - “Smart Greenhouse”, a development designed to serve the innovative development of domestic agricultural production. The project belongs to the 3rd year students of the Faculty of Radio Communication Technologies Dayanch Yazlakov and Sapargeldi Rejepov. The automated greenhouse includes smart functions such as temperature and humidity control and regulation, room darkening, soil moisture measurement, watering and heating. All functions are controlled by a tablet. The “smart greenhouse” system allows you to set up a separate mode for each plant, just point to the task in the tablet's mobile application.
The exhibition demonstrated the work of “smart sockets”, “smart switches”, digital temperature and humidity detectors. The “smart home” controls were developed by CYS ITIT under the guidance of young teachers Dovrangeldi Suvhanov and Begench Annayev. A distinctive feature of these developments is that they do not require special tools to install them in the house. They can be installed instead of our usual sockets and switches, after which they independently connect to a smartphone through a mobile application. In the future, the developers plan to expand the range of proposed detectors and “smart home” sensors. Among them, it is planned to create a water leak detector, a gas leak detector, a smoke detector, temperature and humidity detector with a display, a “smart alarm clock” with a built-in day planner, a “smart lamp”, wireless buttons for controlling a “smart home”, as well as an opening and closing detector of doors and windows. The implementation of “smart home” controls by domestic developers is a priority task for specialists, the implementation of which will significantly save money and increase the speed of devices. It should be noted that ITIT representatives take an active and fruitful part in the field of urban planning, creating digital solutions that can significantly increase the comfortable living conditions of citizens in modern new buildings.
The robot-teacher of the alphabet for kids evoked special emotions among the participants of the exhibition. The author of the elaboration is a 1st year student of the Faculty of Information Systems Security Ahmet Shyhlyyev. By attaching a special RFID card with a letter to the robot, the electronic “teacher” reproduces it and gives an example of one word starting with this letter. After that, the robot, by using a pencil or pen, draws a letter on a piece of paper. To implement this function into the elaboration, special servomotors were used, the robot writes letters according to the principle of a CNC machine. While the robot is able to “teach” kids only the Turkmen alphabet, in the future the young innovator - the author of the project plans to add recognition of letters of other languages to its functions.
Another elaboration for children is software aimed at teaching keyboard typing. Its author is a student of 3rd year Abdyrahman Jumayev. The program consists of several levels. At the initial levels, it shows the location of the letter on the keyboard, teaches how to change the language settings. In subsequent levels, the program allows you to master the technique of fast typing and gives results in terms of the number of printed words per minute.
Another invention is focused on supporting a healthy lifestyle. This is a speedometer which installs on a bicycle: one part of it is attached to the handlebars, the other to the wheel. The speedometer easily determines the speed at which the cyclist is riding, as well as the number of calories he is burning. This data is shown on a miniature display. The elaboration belongs to the 1st year student of the Faculty of Information Systems Security Mekan Seyitgulyyev.
All innovative projects participating in the exposition embodied fresh ideas and creative solutions of the authors, an original creative and scientific approach. The aim of each project is the prospect of its implementation, introduction into mass production in order to contribute to the innovative development of our country. All student elaborations that became the property of the festive exhibition demonstrated the success and achievements of the university in the 2021-2022 academic year that is ending. These are projects that were created in modern scientific, experimental laboratories of the institute, on the basis of the university IT platform, where all the necessary conditions for productive educational and scientific activities of young people have been created.
Let us add that the intellectual quizzes held among the students of the university organically intertwined into the thematic content of the event, which became another opportunity for students to show off their knowledge and intellect. The exhibition of innovative projects in honor of the double national holiday has become a real celebration of science and innovation. We can say with confidence that the visitors of this event had a great chance to make an exciting, informative, extremely interesting and full of new discoveries excursion.
