Theater festival starts in the capital of Turkmenistan

A theater festival begins its work in Ashgabat. And this means that the creative teams of all the theaters of our country will gather in the white marble capital, where they will present the premiere performances of the theatrical season. By tradition, the opening ceremony of the festival will be held at the Main Drama Theater named after S. Turkmenbashy, where a solemn procession of artists will take place.

For several days, lovers of theatrical art will be able to see performances by groups from the Balkan, Mary, Lebap and Dashoguz velayats. In addition to the festival program, there will also be screenings of repertoire performances for the audience.

The play “Nuhun gamisi” (“Noah's Ark”) is based on the play by the national writer of Turkmenistan Govshutgeldi Danatarov, which tells an ancient legend about the global flood.
