Immediately after watching the performance “Red Apple”, the participants of the festival were invited to the State Russian Drama Theater named after A.S. Pushkin, where they were shown the play “Strings of the Soul”, based on the play by Sovhet Serbazov and Mammetgurban Mammetgurbanov.
The difficult fate of the Turkmen genius of music Nury Halmamedov was presented in several age images - in infancy, when the baby was almost stung by a snake, in childhood, when he first admitted that he often hears music, as well as a student of the Moscow Conservatory and an already established composer composing a song for the film “Kechpelek”.
The role of Nury Halmamedov was played by Magtymguly Gurbanov, who told the audience about the torments of the composer's creativity over the creation of his next masterpiece. This turned out to be some surprise for fans of his talent. Listening to the music of Nury Halmamedov, it seems that it was suggested to him by heaven, and the minion of fate had only to write it down.
On the stage, as in life, many famous personalities are in close contact with Nury Halmamedov - the poet Gurbannazar Ezizov, the singer Atageldi Garyagdyyev, the composer Aram Khachaturian... This imposes additional responsibility on the actors - the images of such personalities must be recognizable. And Andrey Pavlov, Valeriy Dmitriyev, Rasul Nurymov coped with this. It helped in many ways that the director of the play, Honored Art Worker of Turkmenistan Bilbil Mammedov, was personally acquainted with these people. And, of course, their well-known “visiting cards” - Gurbannazar Ezizov's favorite raincoat, Atageldi Garyagdyyev's invariable butterfly and Aram Khachaturian's radiance helped to make celebrities recognizable.
Magnificent work based on scenography by production designer Yusup Shyhdurdyyev. She, for sure, will compete among the festival works in the scenography nomination. Particularly interesting are the scenes of the railway station and the conservatory. A great directorial merit in the presentation of extras - hurrying passengers and brisk students - these are not just random people, but bright representatives of their epoch.
It was remembered the excellent game in the episodes of Alina Andronova (the role of a music teacher) and Anastasiya Balandina (the role of the host of the competition).
The people of Turkmenistan treat Nury Halmamedov and his immortal works with great trepidation, so the play “Strings of the Soul” itself is very significant for the audience, who are represented today in the hall by the participants of the festival “Turkmen theatrical art”.
