- under this name, an exhibition dedicated to the Day of the city of Ashgabat was launched at the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.

The first thematic section of the exhibition told about modern Ashgabat with photographs of beautiful buildings, residential complexes, alleys and recreation parks, monumental sculptures, murmuring fountains. Nearby are picturesque works of artists with beautiful views of our city, gift jewelry compositions from the vaults of the Museum of the President of Turkmenistan. The exhibition is adorned with carpets weaved by our craftswomen, depicting in threads the iconic architecture of the capital: “Monument of Independence”, “Monument of Ashgabat”, “White City of Ashgabat”.

The second section of the exposition is devoted to the history of the city. The documentary photographs show the buildings of the first years of Ashgabat's formation and buildings of the past, familiar to the older generation. Looking at the photographs, visitors involuntarily compared the former and modern appearance of our capital. And it becomes obvious that Ashgabat is developing at a rapid pace. Today the main city of our independent motherland is the pearl of Central Asia.

Director of the State Museum Meredgeldy Charyev congratulated the visitors of the exhibition on the occasion of the City Day. The speeches were continued by the guests of the museum: teachers of higher educational institutions, journalists and poets.

The annual celebration on May 25 of the Day of the city of Ashgabat, which has become the center of reliable partnership and peaceful construction, has already become a good tradition. And it is pleasant to realize that as a result of the successful implementation of the White City Ashgabat construction program, our capital is significantly expanding its borders with the construction of new architectural complexes.
