To the 50th anniversary of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Mai Kuliyeva, students and teachers became so active that several concerts a day are held in the Big and Small Halls. One of them is the performance of the Ragtime group.
Dmitri Shostakovich's "Waltz" performed by the Bassoon Quartet was the prelude to the concert, which took place in the Small Hall. The soulful melody of the waltz in the low sounds of the bassoon invited the audience to mentally move to the dance floors of the 60s of the last century. Music filled with purity and sentimentality, causing a desire to whirl in the sounds of the waltz.
The organizer of the group "Ragtime" - accompanist and teacher of the department of wind and percussion instruments Natella Bagirova (piano) - introduces listeners to the musicians, first of all, to the leader of the group, Ilgiz Galimov, who perfectly knows the technique of improvisation on the saxophone. Guvanch Sariyev is a double-bass musician, but he plays the bass guitar very well, Kakageldy Gurbanmuradov is a brilliant master of the technique of playing percussion instruments.
In addition to ragtayim, other students of the conservatory also performed in the concert program.
Recall that the group "Ragtime" was created three years ago. The musicians took the name of the group from the name of the play by Lou Donaldson, the performance of which brought them success at the first concert.
The favorite melodies of the Ragtime group, which were included in the concert program, almost completely coincide with the favorite melodies of all the listeners of the hall. Among them are such magnificent works as "The Little Prince" by Mikael Tariverdiev, the soundtrack to the film "You never even dreamed", "If it weren't for you" by Joe Dassin, the soundtrack "The Old Piano" from the movie "We are from Jazz" by Mark Minkov and many other popular works that have become hits.
The performances of Rakhat Charyev, artistic director of the bassoon quartet, and flutist Selbi Annagurbanova, who has been their soloist since the first concert of the Ragtime group, were especially noted by the public. By the way, this year Selbi became the winner of the Conservatory Talents competition.
Grateful listeners greeted the musicians with long applause for the pleasure they got from their performances, Natella Bagirova, the organizer of the concert, was solemnly presented with a cake along with flowers.
