The Week of Culture solemnly opened in Mary velayat. Among the expected events of the creative forum is the display of novelties of domestic film production.
The creative group of the Association "Turkmenfilm" named after Oguzkhan invites residents of the city of Mary and nearby etraps to visit local Houses of Culture. There will be not only film screenings, creative meetings with famous filmmakers, but also exhibitions where props and costumes from the filming will be presented.
Work at the Turkmen film studio does not stop even for a minute. During this year, filmmakers shot several feature and short films. Filming took place not only in studio pavilions, but also on location. For example, most of the filming of the short film directed by Sahysalykh Bayramov "Gyzyl kürte" took place in Nokhur, Yerbent and other picturesque corners of Turkmenistan.
Modern directors like to turn to the historical theme and the richest cultural heritage of our people. Films that have recently been released are especially eloquent about this. On wide screens, guests and participants of the Week of Culture 2022 will see a new historical film directed by Vepa Ishanguliyev "Çapar" ("Courier"). The film is set in the 18th century.
Batyr Batyrov's film "Hajygolak" will take you to the world of epic and folk tales. The plot is based on the story of a young man who masterfully plays the dutar. Director Arslan Eyeberdiyev will present his dedication to the great Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi in the film Istärin.
Also, as part of the Culture Week 2022, films about current contemporaries will be shown. The motion picture "Binýat" ("Foundation") by Annadurdy Tashliev will tell about the life of young urban planners enthusiastically working on their project. Lala Esenova's film "Owaz" will tell about the importance of the hearth and family values. The bewitching beauty of the Turkmen nature will be shown in Murad Orazov's film Sähra aýdymy (Steppe Song).
The continuous filming process will continue during the work of the creative forum. The association "Turkmenfilm" named after Oguzhan is already working on the shooting of a feature film. A new film called “Margiana” will tell about the events of the Mary Week of Culture.
