On the occasion of the national forum at the gala concert, the honorary spectator was President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov. The attendees consisted of Mejlis heads, cabinet ministers, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, political parties and public organizations, diplomatic missions accredited to Ashgabat, international organizations, ambassadors of Turkmenistan in foreign countries. Among the gathered were representatives of ministries and departments, scientific and creative intelligentsia, universities, national and foreign media, as well as guests, marked on this historic day with high awards of our Motherland. The honorable places were occupied by respected elders, and gray-haired mothers.

The work to preservation and popularization of the national cultural heritage gained special actuality in our country declared on the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan the Year of Honoring the Heritage, the Transformation of the Fatherland.

They performed the best works of national classical music; an aria from "Shasenem and Garib" opera fragment "Sayathan" staging opera which was awarded this year the contest premium by President of Turkmenistan «Türkmeniň Altyn asyry». Inexpressible color of intonations was given the concert the scene of destan "Georogly". Under the high arches of the hall played folk songs, accompanying by the melody of original musical instruments, including gargytuyduk, as well as contemporary vocal works on the poetic lines of prominent Turkmen poets.

At the end of the concert the ancient ritual dance kushtdepdi was performed.
