Admission campaign-2022 continues in the universities of the country

These days, an admission campaign to higher educational institutions has been launched throughout the country. Acceptance of documents from those wishing to enter the universities of Turkmenistan started on July 11 and will last in the velayat centers and the capital until July 24.

An important campaign in the country is being carried out at a high organizational level, all the necessary conditions for its successful implementation have been created. Specially created commissions work with applicants on the ground, openness and accessibility of information for applicants is ensured. The time for entrance exams will begin similarly in the velayat centers and Ashgabat at the end of this month, on July 27.

The training of highly qualified specialists for the country is a priority task in the state, on the basis of which the system of personnel training is being improved, all opportunities are provided for the education and harmonious development of young people. At the same time, the list of areas of training in universities is updated every year, and their number increases every year. For example, last year 32 new areas of training were introduced in the country's higher schools, and 48 are being launched this year. At the same time, innovations affected such levels of higher education as bachelor's, specialist's, and master's degrees.

The largest number - 15 new areas of training is offered to applicants by the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after S. Seydi in Turkmenabat. One third of them are foreign languages, the study of which is given special emphasis in the system of national education. The university will train specialists in Persian, Chinese, German, English, Russian languages and literature. In the coming academic year, the Pedagogical Institute will also begin training in the following new areas: Turkmen language and literature, history, geography, biology, chemistry, physics and computer science, mathematics and computer science, physical education, as well as teacher education (pedagogy and psychology of primary education; preschool education and upbringing).

The introduction of a number of new, relevant and popular areas of training in universities is associated with the active development of the digital education system in Turkmenistan, the digitalization of economic sectors and the need to train high-level specialized specialists. At the same time, in this context, it is envisaged to solve specific tasks related to ensuring the uninterrupted functioning of the transport and communication system, creating conditions for the dynamic development of domestic industry.

Thus, 9 new areas of training are being opened at the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction. Among them: information systems and technologies; software for computer systems; information-measuring equipment and technologies; industrial electronics; microelectronics and semiconductor devices; as well as economics and management; economics and enterprise management; logistics; expertise and property management.

Five new areas of training are being opened at two more universities. At the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan in Mary - software engineering; technological machines and equipment; Information Security; accounting and auditing; economics and Management. Training in the last two will also begin at the Institute of Engineering, Technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan, where such areas as automation of technological processes and production are also being introduced; information systems and technologies; logistics.

4 new areas of training are provided for future specialists in the oil and gas industry and the diplomatic sphere. International University of Oil and Gas named after Y. Kakayev will train personnel in the fields of economics and management; information security; information systems and technologies; software for computer systems. At the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country, training in the specialty of International Law is being launched, and in the master's program of the university there will be areas of training in the fields of oriental studies; analysis and strategic planning; political communication and online journalism.

Two new areas of training have appeared in the master’s program of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management. These are “Tax Management” and “World Economy”.

Training in two more new areas - “Hydraulic Structures” and “Digital Management” starts at the Turkmen Agricultural Institute in Dashoguz.

One new specialty - “Pedagogical education (geography and basics of economics)” was added at the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly.

And one more - “Financial Markets and Banks” at the Turkmen State Institute of Finance.

In general, the list of training areas for the upcoming 2022-2023 academic year has been updated in ten universities of the country. Among almost fifty new and former fields of study operating in universities, each applicant can easily find and choose the desired field of professional training.
