The results of the Fifth International Student Internet Olympiad "Electoral Systems of the World," held from September 24 to November 15, 2024, have been announced.
The event was organized by the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development under the IPA CIS, Saratov State Law Academy, and the International Center for Scientific Information.
A total of 3,172 students from 177 higher education institutions representing dozens of countries participated in this creative competition. Among them were students from Turkmenistan, two of whom became winners, while two others were prize recipients in the Fifth International Student Internet Olympiad "Electoral Systems of the World."
The jury named Selbi Ataeva from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Anastasia Cherkasova, a student from Turkmenistan studying at the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, as winners. Among the prize recipients were Tanryguly Geldimammedov from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Malika Hojagurbanova, another student from Turkmenistan studying at the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia.
This year marked the fifth edition of the "Electoral Systems of the World" Olympiad. Over its history, participation has grown nearly 4.5 times, and the number of universities represented has tripled.
