Music of Turkmen composers will be performed at OperaFirst 2022

The musical culture of the five Caspian states - Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Russia will be presented at the II International Classical Music Festival OperaFirst 2022. A large-scale music forum is scheduled to be held in Astrakhan from September 2 to 11.

The event will be opened by the author's production of Mussorgsky's opera Khovanshchina. In continuation of the festival week, the concert "Day of Russia" will take place with the participation of the prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theater, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Svetlana Zakharova and opera singer Khibla Gerzmava.

Every day, guests of the music festival will get acquainted with the music of famous composers, immigrants from the countries of the Caspian region.

"Day of Turkmenistan" will be held on September 7. The concert program, prepared by pianist Mamed Huseynov and opera singer Daria Huseynova, will present the creative heritage of Turkmen composers Nury Khalmamedov, Danatar Ovezov, Chary Nurymov, Jeren Kurbanklycheva and Rovshan Nepesov.

The Caspian Classical Music Festival is aimed at strengthening friendly ties and highlighting the diversity of the culture of the Caspian peoples.
