The multifunctional facility that occupies the area of more than 20,000 square metres and is around 35 metres in height, which is designed for 5,000 seats, is equipped with the most advanced technologies that makes it possible to hosts water sports trainings and tournaments.
There are two swimming pools to host water sports competitions. The first one (50x25 metres) with ten swimlanes is designed for swimming, the second one (20x25 metres) - for diving is equipped with a device to create ripples on the water surface, an air cushion to mitigate the impact force when entering water, elevators for lifting athletes to jump ramps. There is a special stress-relieving oxygen bath in the complex.
There are also two swimming pools for trainings. The swimming pool with the size of 25x16 metres is designed for synchronized swimming.
In the 50-metre swimming pool there is a special separating baffle that goes up from the pool floor and divides the pool into two parts during the 25-metre-distance competition. Adjustable floor and movable partitions systems are developed by the Netherlands company -Variopool. The equipment for water-sports complex was produced and mounted by Malmslein (Sweden), Mad Wave (Russia) and other companies. In total, 18 world-known companies were involved in equipping the complex with different devices.
There is a special water device with controlled flow rate – “Treadmill” water tunnel, which allows increasing the loads and also can serve as hydromassage device.
Training pool with the size of 50 x 21 metres is designed for trainings of swimmers and water polo players. Water in all pools in the complex is changed five times during a day.
There are special facilities for sports therapy, rehabilitation rooms, first aid rooms, rest rooms, changing rooms, more than 120 showers, several baths and saunas in the complex.
Excellent conditions are created not only for athletes but for spectators as well. The complex is equipped with electronic information boards and signs. There are cozy cafes designed for 300 guests and restaurants – for 100 guests on each floor of the complex.
