Hall of Mukams’ Palace presents exhibition of traditional Tatar national crafts

Exposition includes unique works of modern craftsmen and rarity items of XIX – XX centuries restored by them. There are details of national dress made by gold embroidery seamstresses, fine items of jewellers and wood carvers, calligraphists, leather mosaic, chain stitching and musical instruments among them. Carefully preserving the succession, the masters create art items corresponding to modern approach and using national ornaments and traditional technique.



Visitors were able to appreciate not only presented original exhibits but also to learn how they are made. This range was supplemented by visual art items and photo exposition dedicated to history and achievements of modern Tatarstan and its capital Kazan, the ancient city located at the border of Europe and Asia. Photos demonstrate Kazan with its kremlin, mosques, churches, rich museums and libraries, developed infrastructure. As is known, the capital of Tatarstan is included to the list of world heritage and awarded with diplomas and medal of the UNESCO. It gained the right to be called “Third capital of Russia” in 2009.

Photo works demonstrating development of dialog between two friendly peoples occupy special part of the vernisage. Subject of succession is highlighted by Turkmen expositions located there as well and speaking of achievements of domestic culture and fine arts. It demonstrate beautiful carpets, national dresses, adornments, ethnographic exhibits of the Museum of the State Cultural Centre, painting of masters of Turkmen painting school from the Museum of Visual Arts as well as works of young artists.
