The match “Altyn Asyr” - “Ashgabat” kicked off the 6th round of the championship of Turkmenistan on football among clubs of the highest league.

After five rounds, the current champion of the country was 4 points behind the leader of the tournament table “Ahal”, and therefore the victory in this meeting was of great importance for “Altyn Asyr” in the race for the leader.

The game was held at the capital's stadium “Nisa” with a noticeable advantage of the team of the agency “Turkmenaragatnashyk”, which scored a ball in each half. The scoring was opened in the 26th minute by defender Zafar Babajanov, closing the ball with his head. Altymyrat Annadurdyyev put the winning point in the match by converting a penalty kick in the 78th minute for handballing the opponent in his own penalty area.

After this victory, “Altyn Asyr” scored 12 points, reducing the gap from the leading “Ahal” to 1 point. However, the vice-champion of Turkmenistan played 1 match less.
