Festive exposition in the State Museum of Fine Arts

The exhibition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence showcases the works, which make it possible to take a look at the Turkmen people’s history, culture and traditions as well as today’s ambitious achievements through the prism of arts and stylistics methods.


The thematic exposition demonstrates almost all types of fine arts, including picturesque canvases, graphics, art photography, jewelry, carpet articles and ceramics as well as sculptures created by famous masters as well as students and graduates of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan.


One of the symbolic works is the landscape by the Honoured Art Worker of Turkmenistan Kurban Hodzhakuliyeva “Yanbash in spring”, which conveys the restrained picturesqueness and harmony of colours of the foothill valleys of the Kopetdag Mountains. The picture is painted in soft and life-affirming colours, accurately conveying the feeling of the joy of life, the freshness of a spring morning, and poetic beauty of the Turkmen nature.


The still-life paintings by the People's Artist of Turkmenistan Vera Gylydjova attract with bright colours of juicy fruits and berries.

The Honoured Art Worker of Turkmenistan Saparmamed Meredov presented a series of portraits made in a picturesque style.

A student of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan Gyzylgul Hudayberdiyeva - works in the genre of a pencil drawing. One of her works – “Happy Children” expressively conveys the emotional disposition of children.


The original design work “The celebration of Independence” was presented by Ogulshirin Rejepova, who works with unusual materials - glassceramics.

The festive exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts gave a chance to loo into the future of the national fine arts, getting acquainted with the works by young artists: sincere and kind, colourful and imaginative, creative and sophisticated that symbolizes the love for the Motherland and loyalty to the profession.
