As part of the European Union-funded Consulting for Small Business project, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development held a series of round tables on the search and selection of professional personnel for private companies. The first round table was attended by representatives of local enterprises and educational centres, and the second meeting brought together representatives of the private sector with the country's recruitment agencies.
The focus of the meetings is the discussion of improving the professional education of personnel and their skills through the introduction of effective training methods and the improvement of the personnel management system.
Addressing the participants, the representative of the Delegation of the European Union in Turkmenistan emphasized the role of the private sector in supporting the development of professional skills of young people, as well as the public institutions responsible for the education system. Today, the requirements of employers have changed, new forms of the employment process have emerged. Many businesses have switched to zero-waste production, thereby contributing to sustainable employment.
The selection of personnel includes a preliminary study of the psychological and professional qualities of the candidate. It is necessary to check the suitability of the employee and the correspondence of his personal and professional qualities to the needs of the company. A thorough search for personnel becomes the basis on which the future of the organization can be built. After all, qualified employees are the most important element in the functioning of any business.
