In the assembly hall of the Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the results of the competition for the most attentive and thoughtful reader of the novel "Martin Eden" by the American writer Jack London, translated into Turkmen by the writer Atajan Tagan, took place. The organizers of this action are the Ashgabat Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, the Ashgabat Committee of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Teze Elem bookstore. The purpose of this intellectual competition was to attract young people to read classical literature, which is very relevant in our computerized time.

The participants of the competition, and there were about 100 people under the age of 37, had to answer a series of questions confirming a careful reading of the book, as well as questions requiring extended answers with their own reasoning on some of the topics raised in the work.

The best of the contestants were Shirinay Gurbanova, who was awarded the Grand Prix, and Ismail Berdyev, who took 1st place.

It is noteworthy that during the competition, the Nowça volunteer movement arose from young energetic guys who rush to provide any assistance to those in need. They attended the competition wearing t-shirts with the logo of an open book.
