The Mukams Palace hosted a concert dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Armenia. The musicians of the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan conducted by Rasul Klychev performed the works of the outstanding Armenian composer Arno Babajanyan.

The initiator of this musical action was the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Turkmenistan, whose employees greatly honor the memory of their famous compatriot, who would have turned 100 not so long ago.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Turkmenistan Ruben Kharazyan congratulated those present in the hall on these events, stressed the progressive development of cultural cooperation between our countries and wished a pleasant evening from the performances of the symphony orchestra.

It should be noted that the songs, the music for which was written by Arno Babajanyan, had only to sound once on the radio or television, and they immediately became hits, they were picked up by the people. Moreover, they were sung by people of different ages and professions. Such amazing popularity can be explained by the collaboration of a talented composer with talented poets Robert Rozhdestvensky, Evgeny Yevtushenko, Andrei Voznesensky and others.

Maisa Niyazova, the soloist of the orchestra, opened the concert program with the song "Thank You". Maysa managed to convey the sublime poetry of this beautiful song in a very sensual way. More than 20 works by Arno Babajanyan were performed from the stage, including the instrumental pieces "Nocturte" and "Elegy" performed on the piano by the Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Vladimir Mkrtumov.

The audience warmly welcomed each number of the program. The performance of hits such as "Beauty Queen", "Wedding", "Ferris Wheel" was chanted by the audience to the beat of the melody. In the finale, the soloists of the concert - Dovran Shammyev, Maysa Niyazova, Nury Nuryev, Kakajan Khudaiberdyev, Tazegul Bayramova and Vladimir Mkrtumov jointly performed the song "My Yerevan". Moreover, Dovran Shammyev sang the first verse of this song in Armenian, which caused a friendly applause in the hall.

Grateful listeners left the hall of the Mukams Palace in high spirits, inspired by the melodiousness of their favorite composer.
