On the initiative of the Delegation of the European Union in Turkmenistan, together with the Embassies of France, Germany, Italy and Romania and with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, the Week of European Culture is being held in Ashgabat. In the Turkmen National Music and Drama Theater named after. Magtymguly hosted the opening of this international cultural event.
The concert of the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan with the participation of the State Choir under the direction of Haidar Eminov was conducted by two conductors - Rasul Klychev and guest conductor Vita Timermane. As hosts, the concert program was opened by Nury Khalmamedov's symphonic paintings "Pipe". With a light breeze, the melody introduced listeners to the vast expanses of our region - steppes covered with scarlet poppies, countless dunes of the desert, the murmur of mountain streams, galloping Akhal-Teke horses ...
And then the Overture to the opera "The Barber of Seville" by Rossini sounded piercingly and brightly. Famous works by Mendelssohn, Mascagni, Carl Orff and others were performed under the baton of Rasul Klychev.
The hall especially welcomed the soloists of the concert. Amina's aria from the opera La Sonnambula by Bellini was inspired by Dunyagozel Begaliyeva, Rossini's incendiary Tarantella by Nury Nuryev.
The conductor's baton passes into the hands of Vita Timermane, and Verdi's Chorus of Captured Jews from the opera Nabucco, Vangelis' Conquest of Paradise and others are already under her direction.
At the end of the concert program, solemnly, with a certain amount of pathos, the orchestra performed Handel's Alleluia. With this high exciting note, the musicians of the symphony orchestra admonished the holding of interesting events included in the Week of European Culture.
