International Chemistry Olympiad invites participants

Turkmen State University named after Makhtumkuli will hold the International Internet Chemistry Olympiad. Students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and foreign countries are invited to participate in it.

Registration for those wishing to take part in the Olympiad is open on the official website of the organizing university www.tdu.edu.tm in the Olympiad-2022 section on the page olimp.tdu.edu.tm. Applications for participation are accepted until November 11 of the current year.

The Olympiad will be held online from 14 to 17 November. Individual and team competitions will be organized for experts in chemistry. Tasks for students are prepared taking into account their profile training at the university, on the basis of which they will be divided into two categories. The first will include students specializing in the study of chemistry, the second - students of other areas of study at universities. The working languages of the Olympiad are Turkmen, Russian and English.

According to the Organizing Committee of the Olympiad, participants will be offered tasks in various sections of chemistry in the form of testing and 180 minutes to complete them. When working with assignments, students are allowed to use only writing instruments and a calculator.

The winners and prize-winners of the competition will be determined by the highest number of points scored based on the results of individual and team rounds and will be awarded diplomas of the corresponding degrees. Distinguished participants will be awarded certificates of appreciation.

The Olympiad is held in order to fruitfully exchange scientific experience and knowledge at the international level, further study them, increase and stimulate interest in chemical science among the youth, strengthen and expand interaction between students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and abroad, including through digital information and communication technologies. The intellectual competition was also organized as part of the implementation of the State Program for the Comprehensive Development of Chemical Science and Technology in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025.
