On the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paying paramount attention to the development of sports of high achievements and sports and wellness movement to be established in Ashgabat which has no analogue in the region, the multifunctional ultra-modern sports cluster with well-built infrastructure having had conditions to hold qualifying tournaments, prestigious international competitions, the organization of the training process in various kinds of sports. Ashgabat Olympic Village will be the venue for the V Asian Indoor Games and Martial Arts in 2017 year. The ultra-modern complex of sports facilities capable of providing a comprehensive solution of issues of the reception and accommodation of athletes, training and competition processes.


One of the infrastructure facilities of the Olympic Village is the rehabilitation center. There are more than seven thousand meters with dozens of specialized classrooms equipped with modern medical equipment. Offices of functional diagnostics have electrocardiographs, ultrasonic scanners, scanners and X-ray equipment for various purposes. Diagnostic laboratory with a wide range of research opportunities, complex, physiotherapy unit, treatment rooms, and specialized medical care will operate in the center.



The department of functional rehabilitation will allow diagnosing injuries and diseases of the joints, muscles, exploring the power of flexibility of the spine and analyzing the dynamics of sports results. Due to available opportunities, the specialists of the center if necessary develop an individual program of sports training.
