The large-scale artistic forum, which is held in accordance with the agreements achieved during top-level meetings, vividly testifies to the mutual aspiration of the two peoples in widening the multi-faceted cooperation and strengthening the ties of friendship and good neighbourliness.



The delegation of Turkmenistan included the heads and representatives of the Ministry of Culture, museums, mass media, popular artists and folklore groups.

The opening ceremony of the Days of Culture took place in Alisher Navoi Opera and Ballet State Academic Grand Theatre. The ceremony brought together the representatives of the cultural sphere of Uzbekistan, local citizens, diplomatic missions accredited in the country, workers of culture and art as well as mass media. The representatives of the Turkmen diaspora in Uzbekistan, who play important role in developing cooperation between our countries, attended the ceremony. Those speaking during the opening ceremony underlined the significance of the cultural action in the intensification of the cultural dialogue between the two states.



Masters of Arts of Turkmenistan performed a concert, which programme included national melodies and songs, folk and choreographic compositions.

The fragments of the Gerogly Epic performed by Turkmen bagshis was of particular success among the spectators. The poems by great Magtymguly Fragi were presented in an original choreographic interpretation. The spectacular dance – kushtdepdi adorned the festival.


The programme of the cultural event includes the exhibitions of the decorative and applied art and museum values, the festival of Turkmen cinematography as well as meetings between the workers of culture and art of the two countries, who will discuss the issues of cooperation in the field of culture. Turkmen melodies and songs will sound on the stage of the Academic Theatre of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
