The opening ceremony of the International Turkic Culture Festival took place in the National Museum of Korea in Seoul. The workers of culture and art of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey arrived in the Republic of Korea to participate in the festival.
The programme of the international forum includes the issues of the further study and popularization of the spiritual values of Turkic people all around the world.
Those speaking during the opening ceremony underlined the importance of the cultural event in widening artistic and spiritual relations of Turkic peoples and studying their rich national heritage. Cultural events held on a regular basis open up wide opportunities for strengthening the ties of friendship and fraternity between the Turkic peoples and enriching the common cultural heritage.
Upon completion of the official part, the festival participants presented their bright performances.
Popular singers, the Galkynysh folk and dance group, bagshis presented the Turkmen national art in all its diversity. Bright costumes, melodious sounds of national instruments, songs and dances helped the audience to feel the spirit of ancient and eternally young Turkmenistan.
The final chord of the festival was the joint performance of all concert participants.
The exhibition of samples of national clothes as well as photo exhibition telling about the traditions and customs of Turkic peoples and their original art were arranged in the foyer of the theatre.
The film festival will be held within the framework of the forum. Classical Turkmen movie “Shukur Bagshi” (Contest) will be presented in Seoul. The forum programme also includes round-table meetings.
