Seoul hosts the Day of Turkmenistan in the framework of Festival of Turkic Culture in the National Museum of Korea

A one week festival holds with participation of delegations of our country, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, has become a genuine celebration of creativity and inspiration, reaffirming the relevance of the popularization of cultural values and cultural heritage, strengthening the role of humanitarian contacts in the overall structure of international relations, the strengthening of traditional bonds of friendship and brotherhood of different peoples of the world.

The dance, song and music, and cinematic art for member-states of the festival are well represented on the large stage of Seoul cities Kwangju and Gimhae.


Turkmen people on the Korean land are given a warm and friendly welcome. The Cultural Forum is held in an atmosphere of sincerity and enthusiasm, giving the envoys of our country the opportunity to display their talents and give many viewers unforgettable thrills and emotions to meet with rich and original traditional and contemporary art of Turkmenistan.

Recently, Turkmen artistic delegation is organized a cultural program with a visit to Gyeongbokgung Palace and Namsan Tower, and a cruise sightseeing on the Hangang River.


As part of today's event – the Day of Turkmenistan - a great interest of many residents and visitors of Seoul showcases exhibits from the State Museum of the State Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan and Lebap Museum of Regional Studies, organized in the foyer of the theater Yong National Museum of Korea. There are presented various exhibits, including traditional decorations, carpets and samples of national clothes.

In the evening, the concert of the master of arts of Turkmenistan is held on the scene of the theatre. During the previous creative events of the festival it is held the familiarity of Korean nation with the modern Turkmen culture, the national songs and dances of which open up the entire world of Turkmen folklore, and the generous spirit of which opens up for relatives and kinds friends.


In his welcoming address, the Director of the Department of Culture of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Ms. Song Synghe and the Chairwoman of the Friendship Association between Central Asia and the Republic of Korea, Ms. Lee Ok-Ryun noted that an important factor contributing to the development of culture in the modern world, is a creative collective communication on sites of international festivals and other forums. In this context, the need for further boosting of humanitarian exchanges, facilitate the implementation of existing and creation of new projects in this area.

Beautiful folk melodies and songs are represented in the performance of Turkmen virtuoso of the scene the audience greeted the national dances with enthusiasm and laud applause. Each performance of our soloists and creative collectives is imbued with great love and reverence of centuries-old spiritual values of his own people, the ancestral roots and traditions.


Undoubtedly, the current major creative campaign held with great success will contribute to the mutual enrichment of the cultural heritage of the participating countries and will serve as another incentive for collaborative art projects in the future.
