President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to increase the country's GDP growth in 2023 to 6.5%, in 2022 he set 6.2%.

The head of state set such a task for the Government at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan dedicated to the results of 2022. Addressing the participants of the meeting, the head of state noted that in order to successfully implement the program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028, a program for the socio-economic development of the country for 2023 was developed.

According to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in accordance with this document, it is planned to increase the GDP growth rate this year to 6.5%. Among the main tasks for this year, the head of state called the creation of about 3 thousand new jobs through the construction of modern enterprises, an increase in the volume of foreign trade turnover to 19.4 billion US dollars and bringing the share of the private sector in the structure of the country's GDP (excluding fuel and energy complex) to 71.3%.

«Last year, 76 production and social facilities were opened at the expense of all sources of financing, field workers gathered high yields, which made it possible to maintain food security in the domestic market», the President of Turkmenistan emphasized.
