The Great Hall of the Turkmen Conservatory hosts a concert dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Sergei Prokofiyev

Ashgabat fans gather in the hall to listen to the favorite works of one of the most outstanding composers of the XX century, pianist and conductor, S.Prokofiyev. The young time of Prokofiev, because of the love of experimentation was called music futurist, an over-thrower of traditional values, the music of the mature Prokofiev becomes easy, romantic and unusually lyrical. He is the author of such heroic folk epic operas such as "War and Peace" often turns to music thematic. The solemn performance of "Toast" is traditionally end with the music programs at different stages of the world.

The evening of Sergei Prokofiyev’s music is poetic, and light, gradually turning into the alarming notes of the waltz from the ballet "Cinderella", the violin part has been performed by Bahram Dolyyev, the piano part performed by Stella Faramazova.


The concert continues the violinist; a student Myahri Agajanova performed the play of "The Dance of the Antilles Girls" from the ballet "Romeo and Juliet". "Romeo and Juliet" is one of the most popular works of Prokofiyev. Perhaps, that is why the conservatory musicians three times in the evening turned to this work. The play "Montagues and Capulets" was performed by the violin Aybolek Mukhiyeva, "Mercutio" performed by a drummer Yazguly Babaniyazov. Each performance are greeted by a flurry of applause of the audience.

The vocalist, Bahar Durdyeva performed the aria of Natasha from the opera "War and Peace" - the largest works of the maestro, which he devoted his work for 11 years. A familiar and loved by many people the march from the opera "The Love to three oranges" are performed by a violin duet composed of students Ayjahan Ovezova and Enegyz Yomudova.


The concert, in addition to music from ballets and operas sounds original works for piano and violin. Sonata № 1 performed by the pianist, Bahar Annadurdyeva, I and II parts of sonata of number 2 for violin and piano performed by Alan Abayev and Stella Faramazova. Sonata № 7 brilliantly performed by Vladimir Mkrtumov. Each of these works has felt the scope of stylistic features of the maestro. It has been vividly presented the children's theme in the works of the composer. People's Artist of Turkmenistan's Gulnar Nuryeva performs the song "talkers" on poems Agniya Barto. Romance on the verses by Sergei Mikhalkov's "Pigs" from the famous Prokofiyev’s cycle of the "Children's Songs" sang by Bahar Durdyeva. The concert march "Procession" of the symphonic poem "Peter and the Wolf" is performed by an ensemble of violinists of the Turkmen National Conservatory under the direction of Tylla Yomudova.

The concert organizers are the members of the department of chamber ensemble, making the program of the evening to be vivid giving versatile palette of the musical creation of Sergei Prokofiyev is the innovator of musical language, which is characterized by volumetric major-minor key.
