As a tradition, on Sunday, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov spent his time riding horses together with his grandson, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) informed.
It was mentioned that the Head of the State cared for the horses, having paid the attention to the conditions of their hibernation. During the ride with his grandson, the Leader of the Nation started the talk on subtlety of breeding of the horse giving the teenager advices and instructions on how to master horse riding, make it understand and gain its trust.
Special horse races with participation of young jockeys are held in out country by the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Along with the increase of interest of teenagers to the riding, it stipulates successful continuation of national equestrian traditions. Besides, by the proposal of the Head of the State, the show jumping was included to the programme of 2017 Asian Games in Ashgabat.
During his talk with his grandson, the Head of the State by interested stories and legends told what important place the horses were occupying in the life of people, what role they played in historical fortune of the nation, about founders of famous family breeds and their offspring.
