The delegation of Turkmenistan will participate in the International Forum "Transport Logistics of the Caspian Region 2023", which will be held in Astrahan on April 26-27. This is a major annual platform for professionals in the transport and logistics industry, ports, ship and cargo owners, shipbuilders, specialized associations, investment companies, representatives of diplomatic corps and government bodies of the Caspian and other countries.
This year, the Forum is focused on topical issues of cargo transportation along the North-South International Transport Corridor, including the Caspian Sea and the Volga. Participants from Russia, Iran, India, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and other foreign countries will discuss effective business strategies in the conditions of changing traffic flows and the transformation of the Caspian region into the main transport crossroads of Greater Eurasia in a new global context.
The business program of the Forum included such topical issues as the transport and logistics potential of the Caspian region. Conjuncture of the freight market and the main cargo flows of the region; port facilities and infrastructure modernization; logistics centers and Special Economic Zone within the International Transport Corridor "North-South", which are of particular interest to Turkmenistan.
Based on the results of the Forum, the most vital issues of the functioning and development of the transport and logistics ecosystem of the region, as well as the developed proposals will be published in the final resolution and submitted to the relevant government bodies for further development and management decisions.
