This event is dedicated to the forthcoming Neutrality Day. Beautiful architectural ensemble, decorated with marble and granite, is built in one of the new micro-districts of Balkanabat. Its total area is 3.34 hectares. Snow-white mast, rushed toward the sky and symbolizing the achievements of the country, is placed at solid pedestal in the centre.
The construction of such facilities is a special engineering and technical category. Many factors including wind and seismic impact were taken into consideration during the development of the project. All fastenings providing stability of the massive construction were tightly secured. The size of the flag flying high above is 20X30 metres what makes 600 square metres. Military guard of honour will be at service near the flag post.
Large panel with pictures of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and State symbols – National emblem and flag are also installed there. Four 22-metres column in the shape of minarets are erected in the corners of the square and comfortable benches and beautiful decorative lightings are placed along the perimeter. 900 spruces and other trees were planted at 1.2 hectares of adjoining territory.
It will look more impressively at night when huge mast of the flagpole will shine in crossing beams of the lights. From now on, the square will host all events on occasion of national holidays.
Back in 2015, 100-metres flagpoles were installed in Mary, Turkmenabat and Dashoguz. The highest flagpole in the country, which 133 metres, was installed and Ashgabat and included in the Guinness World Record book in 2010.
