Projects of development of new fields and increase of production output of old deposits rise the interest of the participants of international oil and gas forum

Summing up the outcomes of branch conference, where representatives of foreign oil, gas and service companies, large competent organizations, different government departments, ministries and profile agencies from Russia, USA, Japan, Great Britain, Germany, France, UAE, Malaysia and other countries of Europe and Asia as well as domestic and foreign mass media took part, was the main event of the second day of international oil and gas forum.

High interest, expressed to the forum by business circles of the world, was risen by colossal energy potential of our country that has riches deposits of hydrocarbon resources. Transparency of foreign policy led by Head of the State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which main aspect is the development of beneficial partnership in this important field of the world economy, plays special role.


During two days of the conference, leaders of structural departments of domestic fuel and energy complex and their potential partners discussed the perspectives and strategy directions of cooperation in the leading branch of Turkmen economy.

Further diversification of supplies of Turkmen hydrocarbons to the world markets, investments to development of oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan, perspective methods and technologies of exploration and production of oil and gas in our country as well as processing were the main subjects.

It was mentioned in the reports during the forum that Turkmenistan, being recognized energy state, establishes committedly multiple-choice gas transport system, realizing and developing large-scale projects together with foreign partners. In this regards, special stress was made on started construction of Turkmenistan – Afghanistan – Pakistan – India gas main, which is large-scale long-term international energy project, as well as on opportunities of laying the pipelines toward European direction.


In this context, representatives of leading foreign companies expressed the willingness to present Turkmen concerns with advanced highly efficient technologies in exploration and development of the fields with difficult access on land and in the Caspian Sea, in the sphere of hydrocarbons processing and formation of new routes for delivery of energy carriers to the world markets.

Being committed to the principles aimed at increase of global energy security, Turkmenistan steadily expands resource base of hydrocarbons and improves national gas transport system taking into account capabilities of full provision of the demand for energy carriers both in internal and foreign markets. In this aspect, East – West gas pipeline is of a great importance. This gas main is summoned to play key role in export of Turkmen gas to the world markets in any directions.

Environmental aspect, which is given the main role during modernization of existing and construction of new industrial facilities, was separate subject of discussion.


Many issues, which domestic specialists are interested in and what in the nearest future might be required by fuel and energy complex of the country, were discussed during the conference and reflected at the stands of largest companies, which brought their developments to Ashgabat taking into account national strategy of innovative development.

Special attention of the guests and participants was concentrated at presented projects for development of new and increase of production output of existing deposits. Large interest was risen by the stands with technical innovations, which give opportunity to look into the future of Turkmen fuel and energy complex.

The format of the forum allowed to discuss actual aspects of cooperation in the framework of speeches and numerous business meetings, which were held during these days between foreign businessmen and heads of Turkmen oil and gas departments and concerns.
