In 2016, Turkmenistan efficiently implements the measures for increase of export and at the same time satisfies the requirements of internal market by growing domestic production.
The growth of the GDP of Turkmenistan made 6.2 percent for January – November. The trade with 14.2 percent, agriculture with 12 percent, transport and communication sector with 10.4 percent and service sphere with 9.7 percent became the leaders.
The volume of export energy increased on 17.4 percent, mineral fertilizers on 2.6 percent, cement on 6.3 percent for the period from the beginning of the year. Export of wool, carpets, fruits and vegetables, vegetable oil, wheat, cotton fibre and other goods was also increased.
At the same time, the import of raw materials and goods reduced 10 percent. The reduction of import volumes of raw materials, food and industrial goods gave impulse to the growth of production of such items in the country.
Production base is continued to be developed making the foundation for further growth. Construction of 209 facilities is accomplished and building of other 111 facilities is carried out in accordance with main directions of the development of industry in the regions.
Production, social and cultural facilities are built in all regions of the country. The volume of drawn investments from all sources of financing made 48.4 billion manats.
The private sector increases the production. The enterprises of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan made industrial production for 32.6 percent and agricultural and food production for 36.5 percent more comparing with the same period of the last year.
The import substitution becomes efficient engine of the economy and its diversification, expanding the variety of goods in internal market and export supplies.
