Turkmen specialists get acquainted with global trends in the digital economy

A five-day seminar on global trends in the digital economy has started in Turkmenistan. It is organized within the framework of the project «Capacity Building of the Academy of Civil Service under the President of Turkmenistan», which is implemented by the United Nations Development Program and the Academy of Civil Service under the President of Turkmenistan.

The course in a hybrid format is held with the participation of representatives of various ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, representatives of the parliament, banking institutions of the country, as well as the hakimlik of the city of Ashgabat. It is aimed at building the capacity of civil servants in the field of digital transformation and improving the efficiency of public administration through the introduction of digital technologies.

So, during it, the participants will get acquainted with the best practices of digitalization of the country's economy, learn about the main trends and prospects in this area. Together with Andrey Leonovich, an international consultant in the field of innovative solutions, they will also discuss the principles of working with databases and issues of ensuring cybersecurity.

The expert expressed confidence that this seminar would help Turkmen specialists to get new ideas for the development and implementation of digital technologies, and accelerate the digital transformation in the country.

The project «Improving the capacity of the Academy of Civil Service under the President of Turkmenistan» is aimed at improving the level of professional training of civil servants, as well as promoting young professionals (including women) in leadership positions.

It is expected that within the framework of the project, a certificate program for improving the level of professional qualifications of civil servants will be developed and implemented and cooperation with international partners will be established in priority areas for the development of state authorities and local governments in the context of digital transformation.
