The national teams of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Oman were rivals for the football players of Turkmenistan following the results of the draw of the first CAFA Nations Cup 2023 tournament held today, which will be held from June 11 to 20 under the auspices of the Central Asian Football Association with the participation of seven teams.

Turkmenistan and its rivals have formed Group A, the matches of which will be held in Tashkent.

The participants of group "B", which consisted of the teams of Iran, the Kyrgyz Republic and Afghanistan, will play in Bishkek.

According to the regulations of the CAFA Nations Cup 2023, the matches at the first stage of the competition will be held in one round. Group winners will compete for the main prize in the final. And the teams that took second places in the groups will determine the bronze medalist of the tournament in a duel between themselves.

The upcoming CAFA Nations Cup 2023 will be a good preparation for the national team of Turkmenistan for the qualifying tournament of the 2026 World Cup.
