The FIFA Training and Methodological Center will be built in the city of Arkadag, which is built 30 kilometers from the capital of Turkmenistan. An agreement was reached at a meeting between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the head of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Gianni Infantino.

The head of the largest international football organization, consisting of 211 national associations, visited Turkmenistan for a one-day tour of Central Asia.

During the conversation, the Head of State informed the guest about the construction of a city of state importance with modern sports facilities. This successfully implemented mega-project, designed in accordance with the highest standards of modern architecture and urban planning, will function within the concept of «smart city».

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov told the head of FIFA about the creation of the football club «Arkadag», which successfully performs in the national championship and about the decision to build a football center in the new city.

According to the Head of State, this center is intended to promote the popularization of football in our country, the further development of fruitful cooperation with FIFA and other interested foreign partners.

Gianni Infantino supported this idea of the President of Turkmenistan, noting the expediency of establishing a FIFA Training and Methodological Center here in the future.

«The city of Arkadag has a very clean air, wonderful nature and climate. I think this is an ideal condition for young people to be interested in football and to demonstrate its ability not only to Turkmenistan, but to the whole world», - said the FIFA President.
