The Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater hosted the performance "Myselves" dedicated to Europe Day and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the European Union.

Before the performance, Mr. Diego Ruiz Alonso, the EU Ambassador to Turkmenistan, thanked the audience, gathered in the theater hall, and said: "Celebrating this date, we decided to introduce you to a performance in the style of contemporary art of the 21st century. For our part, we plan to introduce Turkmen art to the European Union. It will be an interesting dialogue of arts of different cultures."

The performance "Myselves" represents one of the most innovative trends in European contemporary art, which combines stage choreography with digital and interactive technologies.

The play, or rather the ballet, was based on the fact of the birth of mankind on Earth, which lasted for many millions of years. The life of an immovable creature was confirmed by air bubbles rising up to the surface of the water. The spectators witnessed with what difficulty man managed to get on his feet, how emotions first appeared on his face, how he whirled in his further successes, feeling himself the crown of nature, the master of the planet...

The audience greeted the performance with unanimous applause, thinking about how fragile our planet is, giving life to many creatures, led  by a man endowed with reason.
