The theater of the Balkan velayat pleased children with a magical fairy tale

The team of the State Drama Theater of Balkan velayat named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashi prepared a fairy-tale gift for its youngest spectators.

On the International Children's Day, the theater presented the play "Hyýalymdaky Şazada," based on Turkmen folk tales. The play was composed by stage-director Ovezmammet Galandarov.

Although the play is for children, it touches on the important themes of honesty, hard work, and kindness.

An orphan girl named Byagul is brought up by her stepmother. One day she sends Byagul to the forest for water. An accidental awkwardness, and the girl drops her jug to the bottom of the well. Knowing that her stepmother will scold her for losing the jug, Byagul cries bitterly.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, forest fairies appear in front of her. The magicians are ready to help her out of trouble if the girl can fulfill all their requests – to mend clothes, comb and braid long hair. Noting diligence, compassion and willingness to do good to everyone, the magicians reward Byagul for her efforts and give her a new golden jug.

But the story does not end there, and ahead of the girl there are more severe trials, after overcoming which, she will meet the prince.

The young audience liked this instructive fairy tale, beautifully performed by the artists G.Hajimammamedova, P.Elyasov, M.Gurbanova, O.Annagylyjova and N.Janmammedov.

Screenings of the play will continue during the summer school holidays.
