The national team of Turkmenistan at the starting on the 5th of June in Ashgabat the team championship of Central Asia in tennis among children under 12 years old will be represented by 6 athletes - 3 boys and 3 girls.

As reported in the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan, the selection of athletes was preceded by a number of national tournaments over the past two years and the final preparatory training camp, which was held from 7th to 28th May in Tashkent. Based on their results, the coaching staff of the national team announced the names of the athletes included in the application for participation in the tournament.

In this way, Turkmenistan will be represented in the championship of Central Asia (U-12) by: Suleyman Hudayberdiyev, Nazargeldi Amangeldiyev (both from Ashgabat) and Ali Geldiyev (Turkmenabat) in the boys’ team, and Aylara Kakabayeva, Anna Ponyatova and Nazli Hudaygulyyeva in the girls’ team (all - Ashgabat).

The team of girls at the tournament will be headed by the head coach of the national team Mirali Gasanov, and the boys' team will be headed by the first racket of Turkmenistan Yuriy Rogusskiy.

Remind that the championship of Central Asia, held under the auspices of the International (ITF) and Asian (ATF) tennis federations, will be attended by teams from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

All matches of the tournament, whose chief referee is Seftedjani Mohammadhassan Lachinani from Iran, will be held in the tennis complex of the Olympic Village.
