Today, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to Ak bugday etrap, Akhal Velayat to examine the activities of organizations of the agro-industrial complex and the progress of grain harvesting.

Early in the morning, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went to the “Bugdaýly tejribe-tohumçylyk” experimental seed-growing farmers’ association located in Ak bugday etrap, Akhal Velayat.

The car of the Hero Arkadag stopped at the edge of the wheat field of the “Bugdaýly tejribe-tohumçylyk” experimental seed-growing farmers’ association, where Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was met by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov, which is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, Akhal Velayat Khyakim Y. Gurbanov, as well as Deputy Chairman of the CIS Intergovernmental Coordinating Council on Seed Production, President of the “Seeds” Association I. Kuzmin, who arrived in our country on a working visit, Chairman of the Economic Management of the Military and Law Enforcement Agencies of the country Ch. Amanov, and agronomists.

Welcoming the guest to the Turkmen land, the Hero Arkadag emphasized that our country pays increased attention to modernizing the work of the agro-industrial complex in accordance with the requirements of today and best practices, strengthening food security and introducing the latest achievements of science and innovative technologies into the industry.

The Deputy Chairman of the CIS Intergovernmental Coordinating Council for Seed Production said with satisfaction that Turkmenistan has created all the necessary conditions for the productive work of farmers. In May 2019, Ashgabat hosted a meeting of the CIS Intergovernmental Coordinating Council on Seed Production at a high organizational level, the guest continued, when meetings and exchange of views were held on issues concerning the further development of seed production and breeding work.

Then Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov talked with Ch. Annaev, a tenant of the farmers’ association, asked him about working conditions, marital status, as well as the state of affairs in his fields.

The farmer said that he leases 28 hectares of land and intends to harvest about 40 centners of selected wheat grain from each hectare, planning to deliver 112 tons of grain to the state bin. The grain grower emphasized that the state provides all the necessary assistance and support to rural workers in this area.

Then the Hero Arkadag, at the request of the tenant, with the words “Bismilla”, gave a blessing to the beginning of the grain harvest and cut the first bunch of ripe wheat. All those present followed the example of the National Leader of the Turkmen people.

Wishing the grain grower success in his work and a bountiful harvest, the National Leader of the Turkmen people presented gifts to the grain grower on behalf of Arkadag Serdar for good work.

Taking a handful of wheat grains, the Hero Arkadag said that the fertile land produces generous harvests if it is properly treated, taking into account the best practices and achievements of modern science, which requires upgrading the agro-industrial complex, and gave advice to the relevant managers.

Combine harvesters lined up at the edge of the field, ready to start the harvest. The National Leader of the Turkmen people talked with one of the machine operators, asking him about his working conditions.

Expressing sincere gratitude to the Hero Arkadag and Arkadag Serdar, the machine operator said that he had been operating high-performance combine harvesters equipped with a telematics system purchased by the state for 15 years, and the most comfortable conditions are created inside the cabin.

Then the high-capacity machines were put into operation, which are considered the most advanced and high-performance in the world. Thanks to their smooth operation, the bountiful crop, grown by the diligent work of farmers, is harvested without loss.

Then National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov discussed with the relevant leaders and foreign guests issues related to development of the agricultural sector, and innovative methods of farming.

At present, the harmonious development of all segments of the agro-industrial complex depends on breeding work. Speaking about this, the Hero Arkadag specified that the country attaches great importance to international cooperation in this area. The development of cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations has become one of the priorities of the foreign policy strategy of Turkmenistan.

In turn, I. Kuzmin said that the work ongoing in the agricultural lands of Turkmenistan fully meets international standards and agro-industrial requirements. Farmers and agronomists are working to improve soil fertility and develop new lands on a scientific basis. The combination of the achievements of modern science and the domestic agricultural experience guarantees the efficiency of the work done and compliance of the finished product with the high quality and environmental requirements.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized the need to develop international cooperation in the agro-industrial complex, use the best practices to increase crop yields, as well as develop production that meets modern environmental requirements.

In addition, an exhibition of bakery products, vegetables, watermelons and melons grown in our fertile land, and grain seeds was organized on the site, which became a striking illustration of the food abundance achieved as a result of the painstaking work of farmers.

The variety of presented products, including grain seeds, is a clear example of the great importance given to breeding activities in the agro-industrial complex, the result of the work of agronomists who scientifically study the characteristics of crops, constantly expanding the range of scientific research.
