The Week of Culture starts in Ashgabat - an annual large-scale international event that will present a wide panorama of the cultural life of the country. Representatives of various areas of culture and art of Turkmenistan are preparing to demonstrate their best achievements and creative innovations.

Baimyrat Musaev, the leading specialist of the literary department of the Oguz Khan Association "Turkmenfilm" told the readers of GA about how Turkmen cinema will be presented at the Week of Culture.

– From June 22 to June 27, a series of short and full-length feature films shot by Turkmen filmmakers is planned to be shown on Turkmen television channels. Among them: a full-length feature film "Hadzhigolak" ("Hajygolak") directed by Batyr Batyrov, which tells about a teenager named Hadji, who became a skilled musician, and the history of the creation of the famous melody "Hadzhigolak"; a full-length feature film by Vepa Ishangulyev “The Value of a Great Award” (“Uly baýragyň gymmaty”), in which the theme of the world-famous Akhal-Teke horse breeding, the art of Turkmen riding, is revealed through life events; full-length feature film "Hyurlukga-Khemra" ("Hüýrlukga-Hemra"), filmed by director Myrat Orazov based on the Turkmen epic destan of the same name.

The film tells about the romantic relationship of two young people, about pure love and difficult trials on the winding paths of fate; a short feature film “Youth” (“Ýaşlar”) directed by Isgendermuhammet Annamukhammedov, which tells the audience about amazing events, the first love of young people and the traditions of the Turkmen Toy with humor and warmth.

Along with the films that will be shown on local television as part of the Week of Culture, the Ashgabat cinema will host a screening of the feature film “Istärin” directed by Arslan Eyberdiev, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the classic of Turkmen literature, poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi, which will be able to watch not only Turkmen citizens , but also foreign guests of the capital.
