In the morning, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived to multifunctional sport complex, which construction is carried out by Myradym Individual Enterprise, the member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs by the order of the Ministry of Industry. Total area of multifunctional sport centre is 28.5 hectares and includes various sport, administration and technical facilities, which are almost ready to be put into operation.
Looking around the construction site, the President of Turkmenistan stressed the attention of the relative leaders on the plans of further development of National tourist zone. The Head of the State highlighted that every facility have to combine advanced architectural solutions, harmonically merge into picturesque natural landscape of the Caspian coast and meet the requirements of ecological safety.
President of Turkmenistan entered the hall of the building designed for martial arts including boxing, taekwondo, judo, sambo, free and Greco-Roman wrestling, fencing and other sports.
The Head of the state was informed on the situation in the facilities of new sport complex, which includes premises for team sports like basketball, tennis, handball, volleyball as well as swimming pools, Ice palace with hockey fields and figure skating, fitness centre. Besides, the projects stipulates the office with administration facilities, conference hall for 150 people, equipped with all necessary items for the work of mass media representatives, restaurant, and open sport ground for basketball, tennis, volleyball and football. There are two car parking for 250 vehicles as well.
During the presentation, special features of technical provision of the complex and sport equipment from the famous world’s brands were introduced in details to the head of the State.
Together with establishment of necessary conditions for the tourists to do sports, held training sessions and competitions of different level, the President of Turkmenistan highlighted the importance of establishment of efficient system for control of the health condition of the athletes.
Having mentioned that this aspect is topical in the context of effeçtiýe training of the sportsment for the forthcoming V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, the Head of the State recommended to hold the conference on sport medicine.
Familiarizing with sport complex facilities, the Head of the State expressed number of recommendations with regards to interior and exterior design of the buildings.
After, president Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went to the fitness centre. During the conversation held there, famous German fitness trainer Bert Rauschenbach who took an active part in technical provision of new complex, spoke about the features of the sport equipment installed there. In particular, the centre has various sport machines and equipment including the weights and dumbbells and other powerlifting equipment, which meet the demands of advanced users and the beginners. By the way, there are some unique samples of the equipment, which are introduced for the first time in Turkmenistan.
After, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went up to the first floor of the sportcomplex and familiarized with the provisions of the gyms there. Special pictures illustrating complexes of exercises and techniques for each of them were demonstrated to the Head of the State.
Speaking with accompanying officials, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov again emphasized that the programme of the exercises have to be maximally efficient and make positive effect on general feeling of the individual.
After, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went to the martial art hall where the constructors do finishing works for sport complex construction. During the conversation with them, the Head of the State mentioned the importance of this facility, having expressed the confidence that while training in such modern sport complexes, Turkmen sportsmen would achieve great successes in international competition and multiply the authority of the country.
Answering the questions of the participants of the meeting, the Head of the State noted that establishment of the best conditions for the rest of Turkmen citizens, realization of colossal recreational potential of unique natural pearl of the country, service to the people are the main target of implementation of this grandiose project.
Having expressed the interest in daily routine, the Head of the State informed that he made this trip to Balkan Velayat to meet the people of the seaside region as a candidate for the President of Turkmenistan and introduce his programme, its main objectives and directions. The President of the country highlighted that such meeting are of the great importance for further improvement of the work in accordance with time demands, definition of priority vectors of the government policy and fulfilment of set objectives.
