This is one of the fundamental mottos of today's Turkmenistan, guided by which, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov rightly noted in his speech at the last session of the Halk Maslahaty that "a healthy society is the backbone of a prosperous state".

During the years of independence, a lot of work has been done in Turkmenistan to protect the health of the population. Initially, the "Saglyk" State Program was adopted.

Without exaggeration, a network of super-modern medical facilities has been created and is successfully operating in the country today.

The medical industry is consistently and successfully developing, multilateral cooperation with leading international structures in the field of healthcare is being strengthened.

There are intensified contacts for the exchange of experience through telemedicine and teleconferences, as well as the introduction of advanced techniques into medical practice.

At the session of the Halk Maslahaty, the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov named the groundbreaking of the construction of modern medical facilities that will replenish the multifunctional structure of the health care system - the International Scientific and Clinical Center of Oncology, the Center of Dentistry and the International Center of Pediatrics - as a vivid example of the great attention paid in the country to the promotion of public health.

Constant attention to medical issues and concern for the health of our citizens convinces us that the issues of providing healthcare facilities with high-quality medical services and improving the professional level of medical staff will also be among the central ones at the upcoming September meeting of Halk Maslahaty.
